One of the five famous kilns in the Song Dynasty
Ru Kiln, one of the five famous kilns in the Song Dynasty, was named because the kiln site was located in Ruzhou, Henan Province during the Song Dynasty. Ru kilns were found in Zhanggong Lane, Ruzhou City, Henan Province and Qingliangsi Village, Daying Town, Baofeng County. Ru porcelain ranks first among the five famous kilns of the Song Dynasty, namely "Ru, Guan, Ge, Jun, and Ding", and is known as "Ru Kiln is the best" in the history of Chinese ceramics. Ru Kiln is one of the famous porcelain types in traditional Chinese porcelain making. It was the main representative porcelain of the royal family during the Northern Song Dynasty, Southern Song Dynasty, and Ming Dynasty in China.
